Honest simple tasty food.Tried here first time. Had a burrito and 2 enchiladas comb plate $20.95 to share, dinner for 2. Openning the containers, it already smelt sooo good. The enchiladas, burriro and baked beans all tasted amazing. Their beef was cooked perfect.They put effort to cook good foods. We enjoyed so much. As for portion, it was perfect for us because we had deserts at home. Otherwise adding an appetizer or deserts would make a perfect dinner for 2 people.

I've been going to Pancho's for going on thirty years now and it's always good. The burritos are the standard I measure by. Love their salad dressing and their black bean soup. I usually have their "plain" nachos , which are steal considering the amount of cheese on them. Sometimes their chips can be a little stale but the salsa is always so good.

Awesome Mexican fare with excellent service. It’s a great cozy location with relaxing atmosphere and the house hot sauces are great. The varieties of classic dishes are are well executed and we will happily go back.

I have been visiting Pancho for years. The owners are very friendly and the food is excellent. Huge portion sizes for the mains and combo plates, and excellent tacos! Lots of tequila choices - and knowledgeable staff to help you make your decision if you're not sure which one to try. I have never had a bad experience here.

I've been going here since the day they first opened. Whether by design or luck, I've always have had consistent quality and quantity of food. Service is attentive and helpful. One of the few restaurants that don't keep changing their menu (except for pricing 😉).

Yum! Personal size nachos are amazing ( right size portion and each chip is loaded so you don't get a too layer of flavour with naked chips below). Nice atmosphere, knowledgeable servers and good selection of beer. Highly recommend.(They have a good selection of drink with alcohol-free options too ... something for everyone!)

Very good food in a lively area with the option for a patio. My summer meals at this restaurant have been nothing but positive. They have this fruity pineapple, strawberry and banana drink that is just wow. I had ordered the chimichanga before and that remains my favourite dish here. It's literally cheese on cheese on cheese with sauce, beans, rice, and a salad. Yum yum yum!

The BEST mexican food that I ever had!!! I live in São Paulo - Brazil - a city with hundreds of this kind of cuisine but this one was really unique!! Congrats!!!

Food is ok, nothing extraordinary. In my honest opinion, the burrito was tasteless. It's also the kind of burrito you have to eat with a fork and a knife. I'm not sure if I, personally, would give it another try.

This place is incredible. The food is served in huge portions that are extremely taste. Very satisfying serving sizes and flavour. I would highly recommend one of the combo platters so you get some variety going. Atmosphere is very "authentic", with very cool little touches like repurposed Corona bottles for shakers, etc. Nice music playing, friendly staff. I would recommend not getting the cocktails, though - get a non-alcoholic drink and grab a beer at the neighbouring pub after!

I cannot explain how much I love this place - I’ve been meaning to review Pancho for a while, but kept forgetting to take a picture because the food is just that good that that’s all I’m focused on. Myself along with some friends eat here roughly once a month. I always get the #6, a burrito, an enchilada, and a taco served with salad, beans, and rice (pictured here on both our plates - my partner’s is without salad). I am never disappointed. The music is in Spanish and suits the atmosphere of the restaurant perfectly. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful and seem very understanding of their guests’ munchies.

Going into this place I wasn't quite sure what I had signed up for. The atmosphere was 'authentic' if you want to call it that, but I still wasn't sure what to expect from the food. Well, I can tell you that I had some of the best Mexican food that I've ever had in my entire life. Nachos may seem simple but they can be messed up...not here. Their salsa was amazing, homemade and very fresh and their baked beans were so tasty and perfectly done.Highly recommended!

Amazing place for Mexican food.

Pancho Villa is by far one of my favourite restaurants in Ottawa. Their food is authentic and delicious and made with love and pride. I will always highly recommend. (FYI, I just found out that they are now open for pick up and have also partnered with Skip The Dishes - I think. Please support local businesses - especially this one during this crazy pandemic time we are in together)

Pancho Villa offers a great selection of Mexican food that goes beyond the obvious choices. The food tastes particularly great. Service is very helpful in both English and French. The patio is cozy and a wonderful place to relax in the summer time. Prices are reasonable.

Pancho Villa. I have been coming here on and off for decades. Their patio in the summer is beautiful and a fun place to share drinks and nachos. Their main dishes are great too. I am especially fond of the delicious chicken tostada (hot pulled chicken and refried beans base on a tortilla with a cool lettuce, tomato, cheese and ranch style dressing... really good contrast) and deep fried ice cream. On my most recent visit to Pancho Villa, I noticed that their pay system pushes you to tip 15/20/25% which I think is manipulative and entitled. Sure, you can try to figure out what series of button presses allows you to customize tip options, but why annoy customers this way? This shady business practice left a bitter taste in my mouth so I have decreased what would have been a five-star rating to a three star rating. Please change your off-putting payment process that pressures customers to add high tips to their bills.

Best fajitas in Ottawa! Bar none

Mmm I absolutely love this restaurant! From the awesome authentic food, homemade guacamole, signature cocktails and really good prices what’s not to love. I highly recommend Pancho Villa if you are looking for a nice Mexican meal with so many options to choose from. They have a nice patio and the decor inside is cute and cozy and very welcoming. The servers are always so pleasant and make your experience that much better.

Flavourful Mexican food with really lovely patio. The food is perfectly seasoned, if you like your food well salted make sure you add a little extra. Fajitas are right on target.

B+ level food with small touches that put it over the top. Would give it 4 stars, but gotta offset the haters.Request their jalapeno sauce, it is staggeringly good.Dined with a few gluten-free types and they found their gluten free options accurate and delicious.

The best mole in Ottawa! Great patio in the summer time, and love the option with the enchiladas to do one of each flavour (beef, chicken, and cheese). Superb service, and food is always timely, no matter how busy. A hidden gem!

Cute place. Decoration is good. They also offer complimentary nacho chips and salsa when you sit. Tacos were decent but not spectacular. Pina colada was OK too. Service was great.

Delicious food. Coming from the Southwest United States and a Hispanic background I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and atmosphere. They also serve my favorite dessert, the Caramel Flan!!! I will be coming back multiple times for sure.

They were accommodating in seating our large group on the patio during pride which was nice. The drinks came quickly and tasted nice but the food was a let down for me. The portion was average sized, but the chicken in my enchilada was dry. The side salad was pretty pathetic, just a clump of lettuce with some shredded carrots. And the rice was average. Would've preferred beans to a salad. Think I would go back for patio drinks, but I'd be weary to order a meal again.

Most importantly the service is fast and friendly, the food is enjoyably near authentic with nacho chips/guac while you wait for your main Dish. Generous size portions. Ill go back anytime i need that small restaurant mexicana 🍁 🇲🇽
